Jelli is seeking a principal software engineer to join our platform team. This is a full-time position based in our office in San Mateo, CA.

Specific Responsibilities
- Work in a team of highly talented software engineers to build a most scalable music platform that connects our end users (web and mobile), music partners and FM radio stations
- Implement rock-solid, high performance, scalable and secure Java based web services that power our consumer experiences and partner integration APIs
- Design and implement highly interactive game services that handle massively parallel and synchronous user actions and messages
- Work with other technical leads to build a coherent end-to-end architecture for Jelli platform and products
Qualifications
- MS Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years professional experience
- 3+ years as senior/principal software engineer or architect
- Excellent real-world experience in server-side Java, C++, Ruby, PHP
- Deep understanding of web technologies HTTP, HTML, Javascript, CSS as well as traditional and modern database system
- Sustained experience with development in large, high-volume services, both client- and server-side
- Ability to quickly ramp-up on and work in complex and unfamiliar code with ease
- Incessant dedication to quality
- Superb communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies
