Jelli is seeking mobile software engineers to build the Jelli experience for Android devices. This is a full-time position based in our office in San Mateo, CA.

You are a talented and experienced Android engineer who has shipped apps for the Android Market and know the platform like the back of your hand. You thrive on writing clean code and pixel-perfect applications that would inspire our users, customers and partners. You understand the importance of performance and polish in mobile applications and you have a proven track record of delivery. Specific Responsibilities
- Work with a team of highly talented software engineers to build the first version of Jelli on Android
- Design, implement and optimize a highly interactive mobile app that is connected to the Jelli Service Platform to enable a synchronous listening and game experience
- Write clean, optimized and object-oriented Java code
- Create brilliant user experiences and animations
- Use best practices to develop a highly stable application, free of memory leaks, device compatibility issues, and network handling issues
- Work closely with product managers and UX designers to create the best possible experience for our mobile users
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional experience
- Built and delivered Android application(s) that you proudly show to your friends
- Bachelors degree in CS or related preferred, but we’re more interested in the things you’ve developed
- Expertise with mobile usability standards & practices
- Good understanding of the various Android devices, differences between carriers and OS versions a plus!
